Bridges of Bangkok
Getting across the Chao Phraya River can be a major feat if you are on a motorbike. The tollways and highway police will stop and fine you if they catch you. But not all bridges are expressways.
From South to North there are dozens of bridges in Bangkok. They are listed below
The Southernmost Bridge of the Chao Phraya River. Expressway only, bikers forbidden.

Mahai Sawan Bridge
Phra Pin Klao Bridge
Built in 1973 near the Grand Palace. Named after an old siamese king. Bikers allowed
Rama 8 Bridge
Krong Thon Bridge
Built in 1954. Over 350 metres long. 4 Lanes for two directions of traffic. Bikers permitted.
